Odisha Pride: Bhavesh Patra Scores Perfect 100 in JEE Main 2026, Among India’s Top 26
Odisha's Bhavesh Patra scores a perfect 100 in JEE Main 2026, joining India's elite top 26 achievers.
Odisha is celebrating a historic academic triumph as Bhavesh Patra, a Class 12 student of Cohen International School, Bhubaneswar, has secured a perfect 100 percentile in JEE Main 2026—in both sessions. His rare double success places him among the top 26 students nationwide, making him the only representative from Odisha in this elite group.
A Record-Breaking Feat
Patra’s achievement is nothing short of extraordinary. He clinched All India Rank 6 in Session I (January) and followed it up with AIR 13 and Odisha Rank 1 in Session II (April). With over 11 lakh candidates appearing across 13 languages, his flawless performance has set a new benchmark for Odisha’s academic excellence.
The Making of a Topper
Behind the headlines lies relentless discipline. Bhavesh devoted 10–12 hours daily to preparation, balancing JEE studies with board exams. His mantra was simple yet powerful: clarity over quantity. He focused on understanding concepts deeply, maintained consistency across physics, chemistry, and mathematics, and relied on mock tests to sharpen his edge. In a bold move, he even stayed away from social media for a year to remain fully focused.
Family and School Pride
The son of Biswajit Patra, a chartered accountant, and Jayashree Patra, an engineer, Bhavesh credits his family and school for unwavering support. His institution, Cohen International School, is doubly proud, as his classmate Aryasmman Pradhan also excelled, securing State Rank 3 with a 99.97 percentile.
Odisha’s Moment of Glory
This double triumph makes Bhavesh the first student from Odisha to score a perfect 100 in both sessions of JEE Main. His success is being hailed as a turning point, inspiring countless aspirants across the state to aim for national recognition.
Looking Ahead
As Bhavesh prepares for JEE Advanced, his journey continues to inspire. In his own words:
“Success is not about how many hours you study, but how clearly you understand what you learn. Consistency and focus are the real keys.”
