It has been officially announced by the company OnePlus that the new OnePlus Nord 6 model is available for purchase in India, and it is the most impressive mid-range smartphone the company has introduced in years. Priced at Rs. 38,999 onwards, the Nord 6 features a flaghsip-level 165Hz AMOLED screen, a huge 9,000mAh silicon carbide battery, and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC.
OnePlus Nord 6 price in India, availability, and offers
The OnePlus Nord 6 comes with a starting price tag of Rs 38,999 in India for the model with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. The 12 GB + 256 GB version will come with a price tag of Rs 41,999. Its availability will start on April 9 at 12 PM IST on Amazon India and the official OnePlus website. OnePlus Experience stores and other selected retail stores will also sell it. Buyers get a discount of Rs 3,000 when paying through Axis and HDFC banks.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, which has a quad-core 4 nm processor with a 1+3+4 core setup and a Cortex-X5 Prime Core that can run at up to 3.2 GHz, along with the Adreno 825 graphics processing unit (GPU). The phone’s processor features 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, alongside 256 GB of UFS 4.1 storage capacity. According to OnePlus, the Nord 6 scored more than 2.5 million in the AnTuTu benchmark test, a significant improvement compared to the Nord 5’s 1.4 million.

The display measures 6.78 inches and features an AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, a resolution of 1.5K (2772 x 1272 pixels), and a pixel density of 450 ppi. The brightness level for this panel is rated at 3600 nits per pixel, while the HDR setting can achieve 1800 nits of brightness. In terms of the brightness level at night, this panel can reach 2 nits with 3840 Hz PWM dimming. It is powered by Aqua Touch 2.0 for a responsive touch even with damp or oily fingers.

BATTERY
The Nord 6 has a monster-sized 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, increasing by 2,200mAh from the Nord 5’s 6,800mAh capacity, housed within an 8.5mm thick, 217g chassis. It can offer more than 2.5 days of battery usage, giving users access to 26+ hours of streaming videos on YouTube, 16 hours of navigation and location tracking, and six hours of recording in 4K mode. The fast 80W SUPERVOOC charges it in about 70 minutes. The new 27W reverse-wired charging allows you to juice up not just your headphones but other devices like watches, making giant leaps compared to the Nord 5’s 5W.

For the camera system, the Nord 6 is equipped with a 50MP Sony LYTIA-600 main camera with 50MP dual-axis optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization at f/1.8, an 8MP OmniVision OV08F ultrawide camera with an 8MP f/2.2 lens and 112-degree field of view, and a 32MP front-facing camera. DURABILITY
The durability of the phone has been significantly enhanced with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, as well as MIL-STD-810H certification for 25 sequential free-fall tests of the device from a height of 1.5 meters onto steel. To put things into perspective, the OnePlus Nord 5 has an IP65 certification. Crystal Guard Glass is used to cover the display, while a pre-applied screen guard and case are included in the box. It uses plastic for the frame and back instead of metal and glass.

The smartphone is equipped with OxygenOS 16, which is built upon Android 16 with four major OS upgrades and security patches guaranteed for six years. Connectivity options offered by the device include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, and 5G Advanced, thanks to Reliance Jio, the G2 Wi-Fi module designed for crowded places, NavIC, and the IR blaster. The audio experience is delivered through stereo speakers, with Super Audio technology enabling a sound boost up to 300%, plus support for OReality audio. There’s even a dedicated Plus Key for activating the MindSpace and AI functions.
