On January 1, banks in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Nagaland will be closed for New Year's Day or Gaan-Ngai.
On January 2, banks in Mizoram and Kerala will be closed because of the New Year Celebration/Mannam Jayanthi.
On January 3, banks in Uttar Pradesh will be closed for Hazrat Ali's birthday.
On January 12, banks in West Bengal will be closed for the birthday of Swami Vivekananda.

Banks in Gujarat, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam will be closed on January 14 because of Makar Sankranti or Magh Bihu.

On January 15, banks in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Sikkim will be closed for Uttarayana Punyakala, Pongal, Maghe Sankranti, and Makara Sankranti.
On January 16, banks in Tamil Nadu will be closed for Thiruvalluvar Day.
