Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026: Over 14 Lakh Registrations, Apply Till Jan 11

The Ministry of Education has started the online registration process for Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026. This is the yearly interactive program where Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks to students, teachers, and parents before the board and competitive exam season.

As of Monday night, the official PPC 2026 website says that there are 36,25,728 people taking part. This includes 33,24,619 students, 2,64,288 teachers, and 36,821 parents.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of students send in questions and creative entries, but only a small number are chosen to interact directly during the main event.  Because of this competitive nature, people often ask, "Can students really meet the Prime Minister through PPC?"

When will Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 take place?

The ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha is set to take place in January 2026. The Prime Minister will talk to students, teachers, and parents live about how to deal with exam stress and how to get ready for them. ​

How to meet PM Modi during Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026?

Participants should know that this is not an open meet-and-greet, but a small group of students who have been chosen will get to meet PM Modi in person during the program.

The Ministry of Education picks the students who get to meet the Prime Minister through Pariksha Pe Charcha based on their submissions.  Usually, students send in questions to be chosen. In some years, there are also short write-ups, creative responses, thematic challenges, quizzes on platforms like MyGov-Innovate, or other activities that the MoE tells students about.

In a formal setting at Sunder Nursery last year, the last interaction took place. Selected students asked the Prime Minister their questions directly.  In the past, the program was shown live on TV and online.

Online registration for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 is open from December 1, 2025, to January 11, 2026. During this time, students, teachers, and parents can answer suggested themes and questions on the official portal for a chance to take part in the event. ​

Students who want to apply for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 must sign up online using the official PPC link on the MyGov website.  Here is a guide that shows you how to do it:

 Step 1: Visit the official website innovateindia1.mygov.in and click on the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 link. ​

 Step 2: For PPC 2026, click the "Participate Now" button. ​

 Step 3: Choose whether you are a student, teacher, or parent. ​

 Step 4: Use your phone number or email and an OTP to log in or sign up for MyGov. 

 Step 5: Complete the PPC 2026 online form with the information that is required. ​

 Step 6: Try and finish the online activity or multiple-choice quiz for your group. ​

 Step 7: Send in your answers and, if you need to, type and send in your question for the Prime Minister. ​

How long does the Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 program last?

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 will be a live event that lasts for one day and usually lasts a few hours. During this time, the Prime Minister will answer selected questions, give useful advice, and talk to people who are there and watching from all over the country through live streaming in schools, YouTube, television channels, and OTT platforms.

When did the first PPC take place?

Pariksha Pe Charcha started in 2018 as an annual interactive program where the Prime Minister would talk to students, teachers, and parents about board exams, how to deal with stress, career choices, and good study habits in a friendly, encouraging, and problem-solving environment. ​

Can teachers be a part of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026?

Parents and teachers can also take part in Pariksha Pe Charcha.  The application process for teachers and parents is similar online, but there are different categories to choose from when you sign up.  We encourage them to ask questions or share their thoughts on mentoring, dealing with test stress at home or in the classroom, and helping students' mental health.

During the interaction, teachers and parents can also ask certain questions, which makes sure that the conversation isn't just about students' problems.
