SWAT Commando’s Final Call: “I’m Killing Your Sister” Chilling Words Before Tragedy
A SWAT commando’s disturbing final phone call shocks the nation as haunting words reveal a tragic and intense incident. Full details inside.
New Delhi: Kajal Chaudhary, a 27-year-old Delhi Police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) commando, was brutally attacked by her husband, who hit her in the head with a dumbbell, killing her. In a fit of rage, the accused, Ankur, called Kajal's brother, Nikhil, while he was beating her and said, "I am killing her."
Nikhil's brother-in-law, Ankur, who worked as a clerk for the Ministry of Defence and lived in Delhi Cantonment, called him on January 22. "He called me and said, 'Apni behen ko samjha le' (Make your sister understand)," Nikhil said, remembering the terrible night.
Nikhil, a constable at the Parliament Street Police Station, told his brother-in-law to calm down and called his sister right away.Usually, she didn't tell us much about what was going on, but that day she did. "While we were talking, he (Ankur) got mad that she (Kajal) was telling me things and took the phone from her," Nikhil told the news agency PTI."Then he told me, 'Keep this call on record; it will be useful to the police as evidence. Main maar raha hoon teri behen ko. "Police mera kuch nahi kar payegi" (Record this call; it will be useful for the police. I'm going to kill your sister. The police won't be able to help. Then I heard her scream. "The call ended suddenly," he said, his voice shaking.
Nikhil's phone rang again five minutes later. Ankur was the one.He said, "This is dead." "Hospital aajao" (She is dead). Go to the hospital. We hurried there with police officers. His family and he were already there. He said, "When I saw my sister... not even an enemy kills someone like this."
Harassment and murder of dowry
People say that Kajal's mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law were harassing her for dowry. Since they got married in 2023, the couple often fought about money and household issues.
Kajal's mother said that her daughter had borrowed money from her in-laws. Ankur, the accused, had borrowed money from Kajal's parents.
Rakesh, Kajal's father, said that they kept asking for dowry even though they gave expensive gifts at the wedding. "We gave them a Bullet bike, gold jewelry, and cash at the wedding, but they said our son would have gotten a car if he had married someone else." My daughter even got a car for them later, but they still wouldn't leave her alone. He said, "We couldn't even talk to her freely."
The First Information Report (FIR) says the event happened on January 22, between 10 and 10:30 pm, at their home in Mohan Garden Extension, West Delhi.
Kajal was four months pregnant when she was supposedly hit in the head from behind with a heavy dumbbell. The family says she has many injuries all over her body.
She was taken quickly to a hospital in Ghaziabad, where she died from her injuries on January 27. Ankur was taken into custody a few hours later, and a murder charge was filed.
The couple has a son who is one and a half years old. He is now with his mother's parents. We have decided to raise her son alone because he doesn't know anything about what happened. Nikhil said, "We'll tell him when he's old enough to get it."
Physically attacked, but not for the first time
Nikhil said that Kajal's husband hit her about five months ago. "I went there and told her to come with me. Ankur said he was sorry and promised on his child that he wouldn't do it again. "I told my sister she could come home whenever she wanted and didn't have to stay there," he said to PTI.
It is said that Kajal had to do housework after coming home from work, even when she was pregnant. Nikhil said, "She would cook, wash clothes, and dishes even though she was pregnant."
Love That Started in College
They met for the first time in college in Panipat and got married on November 23, 2023. After many fights at their home in Ganaur, Haryana, the couple decided to leave and moved into a rented place in Mohan Garden in December 2024. But the tensions, it seems, stayed high.
