As India tries to win the T20I series against South Africa, Hardik and Axar are on the verge of making history.

India goes into the T20I series against South Africa after a home campaign that was a mix of good and bad.  They lost the last Test series 2–0, but they came back to win the ODI series 2–1.  Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 116 runs in the third ODI in Visakhapatnam, and Virat Kohli added a lively 65 runs to help India win by nine wickets.

The win in the ODI was important not only because of the score, but also because it gave people back their confidence and calm.  India's bowlers, especially Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna, did well under pressure, keeping South Africa to 270 runs.

India is on a roll going into the T20I series. They haven't lost a bilateral T20I series since losing to the West Indies 2–3 in August 2023. Since then, they have won nine series and drawn one.

The white-ball team seems to be back on track, even though they lost some Tests recently.  India will want to keep this momentum going into the T20Is and show that they are still the best team in the shortest format. They have a balanced squad, renewed confidence, and the support of the home crowd.
