SSC CGL Tier 1 Result 2025 Declared, 1.3 Lakh+ Candidates Qualify for Tier 2

The Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) Tier I results for 2025 were announced today, December 18, by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). People who took the SSC CGL Tier I exam can now get their results from the official website, ssc.gov.in.

According to the commission, over 1.3 lakh candidates passed the Tier I exam and are now on the list of candidates for the next step in the hiring process. There are 6,196 people who have passed the Tier II exam for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) position and 2,781 people who have been chosen for the Statistical Investigator Grade II position. Also, 1,30,418 people have qualified for other CGL jobs.

The SSC said that the results of 49 candidates have not been released yet for a number of reasons, such as pending lawsuits and court cases. The commission also didn't process the results of five candidates because they were barred from taking the SSC exams, had their candidacy canceled, or had their candidacy rejected.

Candidates have been chosen for the Tier II exam based on the marks they got in the SSC CGL Tier I CBT 2025. The Tier II exam will be held in the third week of January 2026. The commission made it clear that the marks have been normalized according to the method set by the SSC because the Tier I exam was given in more than one shift.

The SSC CGL Tier I exam for 2025 took place from September 12 to September 26 at testing centers all over the country. Candidates who had technical problems during their first test had to take a second test on October 14.
